베트남 작곡가 겸 가수 '보복' (Bảo Phúc) 사망 14주년 기념일 - 삼가 고인의 명복을 빕니다.

The 14th Anniversary The Day Vietnamese Songwriter and Singer Bảo Phúc Passed Away - R.I.P.

Bảo Phúc (寶福 / 보복), real name is Nguyễn Phúc Bảo Phúc (阮福寶福 / 원복보복), born on October 30 1958 (1958년 10월 30일) in Huế city, under former Republic Of South Vietnam. He was born into a family of Hue royal lineage (Nguyễn Dynasty / Nhà Nguyễn / 阮朝 / 원조대) as his grandfather is Prince Tuyên Hóa Vương (宣化王 / 선화왕) who is the 9th son of Emperor Dục Đức (育德皇帝 / 육덕 황제) and also the younger brother of Emperor Thành Thái (成泰皇帝 / 성태 황제) of Nguyễn Dynasty. Bảo Phúc's older brother is songwriter Bảo Chấn.

 

 

However, he and his family had the difficult life when he was young, he had to worked many different jobs to live. When he was 10 years old, he fell down from the stair which ended up with 3 facial muscles tear and lost his left eye. In 2005, he also had brain hemorrhaged.

Bảo Phúc is a talented songwriter, music arranger and singer. He composed many songs for Buddhism and Vietnamese dramas / tv series. He's a great Buddhist. Since 2006, he collaborated with Monk Thích Chân Quang (釋真光 和尚 / 석진광 스님) and composed a lot of good Buddhist songs like "Phật Là Ánh Sáng Đời Con (Lord Buddha Is The Light Of My Life / 부처님은 제 삶의 빛)" or "Đêm Kinh Cầu (Night Of Prayer / 기도의 밤) and many others. He also sings very well.

On May 24 2009 (2009년 5월 24일), while enjoying tea time with his friends, he was suddenly unconscious due to brain cancer. He passed away on May 31 2009 (2009년 5월 31일) in Chợ Rẫy Hospital, Sài Gòn city, southern Vietnam.
